Definition of Construction Management 


Construction of project management is a construction method whereby planning,organising,scheduling and overseeing many tasks involved in a construction project.

Project manager is the one who actually  implement this method to the construction.

Construction Project Management is actually a total mixture of  Engineering and Management of business,money,time,people.
The process of Construction Project Management for bigger project is very complex,because it takes science,engineering knowledge,time management,money, all at the same time.

  • EXECUTION- After the planning of project,Its time to take ACTION.This is the step where the basic works of any project begun.
  • PERFORMANCE & MONITORING- In the step of PERFORMANCE & MONITORING  the role of project manager is highly required as this can affect the overall quality of the project.
  • CLOSURE- This is the final stage of project planning process.It is important that the project should be completed within the specified time and within the specified budget.

1.Design of project- This is the basic and first step in construction project. No project can run successfully without having a proper Design process.In this step, client's demand or requirement of project gets a shape of reality.

Place of site,Types of construction,Size of construction-all of these questions are answered in this process by the engineer or architecture.

2.Pre-construction of construction-  Pre-construction process refers not only the selection of the contractor,engineer,field engineer but also site examination like soil test.

3.Procurement- In simple words,procurement stage is a stage where the amount of required material that will be used in the construction purpose is calculated and purchased.
Buying all the necessary item(including hiring of labours) regarding construction is the main motive of this stage.

4.Construction- After the four above stages,One final meeting with contractors and field engineer is held.If there is any area that need to be replace or improve then it should be done before starting of construction work.
In this stage the construction works begins.

5.Project closeout- This is the last stage of any construction project.After the completion of work,ITS TIME TO CONDUCT THE POST-PROJECT-PREVIEW.
If there is anything that wasn't accomplished yet,mark that item.
AND finally making a project completion report is the last sign of any construction project.
After that the property is handover to the client.

For smaller size industry this works super cool but In case of LARGER industry construction project management is very complex work.
